Growing with Sinopec
I am now a driller in Turkmenistan Project of Sinopec Shengli Oilfield Downhole Services Company.
I grew up in a small town in Nibida, Turkmenistan. In past years, I had once worked as a waiter, car washer, cleaner, sacks carrier and highway builder. Nevertheless, I had learnt no useful skills in such practices, nor did I save any money. Due to the lack of money, the new house had just made the foundation built. In 2007, I returned home to be a helpless shepherd.
In June 2009, Sinopec Shengli Oilfield Downhole Services Company went to Turkmenistan. In September, I was recruited as a driller through rigorous training and joint in the strange group with upset and precautions.
However, the Chinese colleagues had never laughed at me. Actually, they always taught me all operating procedures hand by hand friendly and told me safety precautions and preventive measures patiently. But, they never slack off in prohibiting any violating acts. We were also concerned in daily lives. Usually, we ate the lunch in the first batch, and the Chinese colleagues would go on completing the tail-in work instead. In addition, they would like to share delicious food with use. Treated as brothers, we felt at home indeed.
I learnt from my Chinese master bit by bit. After working successively as a site worker, inner and outer fitter, driver and rigger, I was appointed as a driller soon. In 2010 and 2011, I was awarded as an excellent employee by the project department in the two consecutive years. In early 2012, I was sent to Beijing for visit and learning. I toured Beijing, enjoyed wonderful food I never touched before, and broadened my knowledge.
In the past 4 years, I have realized the perfect transformation of my life destiny from a shepherd to a professional driller. At the sight of the thriving and growing of the company, I felt extremely proud and satisfied. I will cherish my job and work hard so as to grow with the company in the most sincere manner.
