Analysts See 52 Billion-Cubic Feet Addition to U.S. Natural-Gas Inventories
Analysts expect government data scheduled for release Thursday to show natural gas stockpiles rose less than average for this time of year.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report that storage levels rose by 52 billion cubic feet of gas during the week ended June 23, according to the average forecast of 16 analysts, brokers and traders surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
For the June 23 week, the median estimate is for an increase of 52 bcf. Estimates range from an increase of 45 bcf to 58 bcf.
The estimate for June 23 compares with 41 bcf added to storage in the same week last year and a five-year average build of 72 bcf for that week.
