埃克森美孚将新建首个大型塑料垃圾回收设施

　　中国石化新闻网讯 据道琼斯10月11日消息，埃克森美孚周一表示，公司计划在得克萨斯州新建首个大型先进回收设施，以加大减少塑料垃圾的努力。

　　埃克森美孚表示，公司预计这个位于休斯敦附近贝城工厂的装置将于明年年底开始运营，初步计划每年回收3万吨塑料垃圾。

　　埃克森美孚指出，一个规模较小的临时设施已经开始商业化生产经认证的回收聚合物，将于2021年底投放市场，以满足不断增长的需求。

　　埃克森美孚还表示，公司正在制定计划，到2026年在全球建立约50万吨的先进回收能力。该公司表示，正在与Plastic Energy合作在法国建立一个先进的回收工厂，并正在评估荷兰、美国墨西哥湾沿岸、加拿大和新加坡的工厂。

　　Exxon Mobil Corp. on Monday said it plans to build its first large-scale advanced recycling facility in Texas as the energy giant steps up efforts to reduce plastic waste.

　　Exxon Mobil said it expects the plant at its Baytown complex near Houston to start operations by the end of next year, with an initial planned capacity to recycle 30,000 metric tons of plastic waste annually.

　　The company noted that a smaller, temporary facility is already producing commercial volumes of certified circular polymers that would be available by the end of 2021 to meet growing demand.

　　Exxon Mobil also said it is developing plans to build about 500,000 metric tons of advanced recycling capacity around the world by 2026. The company said it is collaborating with Plastic Energy on an advanced recycling plant in France, and that it is assessing sites in the Netherlands, the U.S. Gulf Coast, Canada, and Singapore.
