中国石化新闻网讯 据原油新闻8月17日消息称，美国Fidelis New Energy是一家总部位于休斯敦的能源转型公司，计划在西弗吉尼亚州建立一个工厂，用天然气生产清洁的氢气。该公告是由州长Jim Justice宣布的。
在获得必要的监管批准后，该工厂将建在梅森县俄亥俄河沿岸的普因特普莱森特400公顷的土地上。该项目预计将在该地区创造约800个永久性工作岗位，并为该州带来超过1亿美元的年收入。

New West Virginia Facility to Produce Clean Hydrogen with Natural Gas
Fidelis New Energy- a Houston-based energy transition company plans to set up a facility in West Virginia to produce clean hydrogen with natural gas. The announcement was made by Gov. Jim Justice.
Upon obtaining necessary regulatory approvals, the plant will be set up on 400 hectares property in Point Pleasant along the Ohio River in Mason County. The project is expected to create around 800 permanent jobs in the region and generate more than $100 million in annual revenues to the state.
The plant would be built in four phases, with each phase capable of producing more than 500 metric tons of hydrogen per day from natural gas. The hydrogen produced by the plant will not only power the company’s data center campus, but will also be transported for use by other industries including steelmaking. It is expected to commence operations in 2028, Justice said. The project will remove and store nearly 10 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per annum.
As per EIA, West Virginia is ranked fourth among U.S. states in terms of natural gas production. With the new plant becoming operational, Fidelis New Energy would emerge as the state’s largest natural gas customer.
