沙特两家石化企业时隔四年后恢复合并谈判

中国石化新闻网讯 据普氏能源资讯网新加坡3月13日消息，沙特撒哈拉石化公司和沙特国际石化公司（Sipchem）周二在公告中称，两家公司将恢复自2014年以来一直推迟的合并谈判。

两家公司在公告中称，鉴于近来监管框架发生变化，它们已经决定重启合并谈判。

Sipchem在沙特Al-Jubail拥有一套乙烯裂解装置，设计乙烯产能为130万吨/年。

撒哈拉石化在沙特有几家子公司，合计乙烯产能为200万吨/年。

Saudi Arabia's Sahara Petrochemicals, Sipchem to resume merger talks after 4 years

Saudi Arabia's Sahara Petrochemicals Company and Saudi International Petrochemical Company, or Sipchem, will resume merger discussions that have been postponed since 2014, the companies said in a statement Tuesday.

They have decided to restart the negotiations "in light of the recent changes in the regulatory framework," the companies said in the statement.

Sipchem has a steam cracker in Al-Jubail that has an ethylene production capacity of 1.3 million mt/year.

Sahara has several affiliate companies in Saudi Arabia which have a combined ethylene production capacity of 2 million mt/year.
