Light, sweet crude for May delivery rose 56 cents, or 0.9%, to $64.94 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, breaking a three-day losing streak. Brent, the global benchmark, gained 74 cents, or 1.1%, to $70.27 a barrel. Crude prices have risen on growing concerns this month that the U.S. could withdraw from the 2015 international agreement to curb Iran's nuclear program and reinstate economic sanctions on that nation. |
