Nationwide commercial crude inventories fell 497,000 barrels to 441.46 million barrels during the week-ended December 14, EIA data showed. The inventory draw was roughly in line with the five-year average for this week of a 645,000-barrel decline, but was well off from wide-ranging market expectations. Analysts surveyed Monday by S&P Global Platts expected a 3 million-barrel draw.
