Noble Energy, the operator of the project, said Thursday that the Leviathan development was 96 percent complete and reminded that the production decks were installed on the jacket in the Mediterranean Sea in the third quarter. According to Noble Energy, delivery of the Leviathan project – dubbed Israel’s largest energy project – is ahead of schedule and below budget. “During the quarter, the production decks were successfully installed on the jacket, setting the offshore world record for the largest crane vessel lift in history (15,300 metric tons),” Noble Energy said. As previously reported, the Heerema’s SSCV Sleipnir, the world’s largest crane vessel, was responsible for the record 15,300 tonnes lift in September, installing the topsides for Noble Energy’s Leviathan “Full hookup of the platform and living quarters, as well as platform commissioning, continues to progress towards the first production in December,” Noble said. Noble on Thursday posted a net income of $17 million for the third quarter of 2019, down from $227 million in 3Q 2018. Revenues for the quarter were $1,1 billion, down from $1,27 billion a year ago. Total sales volumes for the quarter averaged 385 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBoe/d), an increase of 12% from the third quarter of 2018.
