BP has contracted a joint venture between Petrofac and Azeri state oil company (SOCAR), to support its offshore and onshore activities in the Caspian Sea area. These include the offshore Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields and the associated Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, the South Caucasus pipeline and the Western Route export pipeline.
