ACC：5月份美国化学品产量下降2％

    中国石化新闻网讯 据能源新闻6月29日消息称，根据美国化学委员会(ACC)的数据，5月份美国化学产量下降了2%。

    报告说，在疫情流行和油价暴跌期间，美国化学品生产区域指数4月份和3月份分别下跌2.7%和0.9%。

    报告称，5月份所有地区的化学产品总产量均出现下降，其中中西部和西海岸地区降幅最大。

    报告称，产量下降是由于供应链中断和美国大部分地区持续的限制。

    它说，除塑料树脂外，所有化工产品产量都出现了下滑。

    5月份个人防护用品和消毒用品的生产有所增加。

    报告称，与2019年5月相比，2020年5月美国的化学产品产量下降了6%，这是连续第12个月同比下降。

    报告称，西海岸、俄亥俄河谷和中西部的化学产品产量降幅最大。

    报告说，美国化学行业的规模为5,650亿美元，96%的工业制成品包括化学产品。

    US chemical production drops 2% in May: ACC

    U.S. chemical production dropped by 2% in May, according to the American Chemistry Council (ACC).

    That follows a 2.7% decline in April and a 0.9% decline in March in the U.S. Chemical Production Regional Index during the coronavirus pandemic and the oil price rout, it said.

    In May, overall chemical output declined across all regions with the steepest drops in the Midwest and the West Coast regions, it said.

    The declines are due to supply chain disruptions and continued restrictions across much of the United States, it said.

    There were declines in all chemical segments except plastic resins, it said.

    Production of PPE and disinfection products increased in May, it said.

    Compared to May 2019, U.S. chemical production in May 2020 was off by 6%, the 12th consecutive month of year-over-year declines, it said.

    Chemical production showed the biggest drops in the West Coast, Ohio Valley, and Midwest, it said.

    The U.S. chemistry business is a $565 billion enterprise and 96% of all manufactured goods include chemistry, it said.
