澳大利亚石油搜寻公司因上半年亏损取消股息

    中国石化新闻网讯 据道琼斯悉尼8月25日消息，澳大利亚石油搜寻公司表示，能源价格暴跌，加上巴布亚新几内亚和阿拉斯加的勘探许可证被大幅减记，已使该公司出现了半年亏损，因此公司将不会支付中期股息。石油搜寻公司报告称，截至6月份的六个月净亏损2.662亿美元，上年同期盈利1.619亿美元。该公司表示:“鉴于上半年核心税后净利润大幅下降，并承诺在当前具有挑战性的市场环境和不确定的近期油价前景下保持资本，石油搜寻公司董事会已决定不支付2020年中期股息。”

    Oil Search Scraps Dividend After 1H Loss

    Oil Search Ltd. said a slump in energy prices combined with a large writedown of exploration licenses in Papua New Guinea and Alaska had driven it to a half-year loss, and it wouldn't pay an interim dividend.

    Oil Search reported a net loss of US$266.2 million in the six months through June, compared to a US$161.9 million profit a year earlier.

    "In light of the material reduction in core net profit after tax in the first half, a commitment to preserve capital during the current challenging market conditions and the uncertain near-term oil price outlook, the Oil Search board has decided not to pay a 2020 interim dividend," the company said.
