    Oil prices increase as U.S. supplies fall

    Oil prices increased on Wednesday, November 26, after statistics revealed an unforeseen drop in U.S. crude stores last week.

    The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for January delivery increased 80 cents to stay at USD45.71 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for January delivery augmented 75 cents to close at USD48.61 a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.

    The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) registered on Wednesday, November 26, U.S. crude oil inventories dropped by 0.8 million barrels throughout the week ending November 20.

    Analysts polled by the Reuters had expected the EIA publication would reveal a 127,000-barrel upsurge in U.S. crude stocks last week.
