The Russian minister noted that the countries have been closely cooperating in the oil and gas industry for many years. During the meeting, the parties discussed current and potential energy projects of Russian companies in Iraq, incl. interaction in the oil and gas sector and modernization of power facilities. The Russian minister thanked the Iraqi government for "constructive work within the OPEC + framework and for efforts to stabilize the oil market."
